What is Erasmus+?Erasmus+ is the EU’s programme for learning, travel, and collaboration across Europe.
It gives people the chance to study, train, work, or volunteer in another country—while building new skills, confidence, and connections. Whether you’re a student, a young person, a teacher, or part of an organisation, Erasmus+ opens the door to international experiences.
It’s not just about going abroad—it’s also about:
The programme also supports organisations to work together, share ideas, and create better opportunities for communities.
At its core, Erasmus+ is about inclusion, sustainability, and helping people actively take part in society—while experiencing the world beyond their own borders.
Youth Participation Project 2025 empowers young people to actively engage in decision-making, community action, and democratic participation. The project supports youth voices through collaboration, skills development, and initiatives that promote active citizenship and social inclusion.
Youth Democracy promotes active youth engagement in democratic processes, encouraging participation, dialogue, and informed decision-making. The initiative empowers young people to shape their communities and contribute to a more inclusive and participatory society.
Climate Change People Change brings communities together to explore climate action through education, dialogue, and practical initiatives. The project empowers individuals to adopt sustainable practices and become active contributors to environmental change.

This March, GEAI brought Climate Action Days to schools in Carrick-on-Shannon and Drumshanbo, helping students explore the climate crisis in a way that felt practical and fun. The programme unfolded over three sessions: two classroom workshops and a field trip to Tommy Early’s Farm. Along the way, students tackled big topics like fast fashion, food […]
