Climate action days

Main goal

The goal of the Climate Action Days programme is to raise awareness about climate change, and to encourage the class to plan and carry out innovative projects based on sustainability, such as energy, waste, food production, and other topics.

Programme

The programme consists of 2-3 sessions in the school and the final session in the Organic centre (Rossinver, co. Leitrim). We talk about the causes and consequences of the climate crisis, discuss individual impact and what we can do as a group. The students develop small projects that can be completed in a few weeks. At the final session they present the results of their projects. This activity is facilitated by our ESC volunteers who are proving to be a big hit with the students!
