Networking and activism are at the heart of GEAI’s mission to promote climate action and sustainability. By connecting individuals, organizations, and communities, GEAI fosters a collective approach to tackling environmental challenges. Through networking, GEAI enables the exchange of ideas, strategies, and solutions that empower local communities to advocate for climate justice, renewable energy, and biodiversity protection.
Activism, in this context, is about taking meaningful action to influence change. GEAI is actively involved in campaigns, dialogues, and initiatives that engage citizens, policymakers, and businesses in the fight against climate change. Whether it’s through grassroots organizing, public awareness campaigns, or lobbying for better environmental policies, GEAI strives to create a network of informed, motivated individuals who can work together for a greener, more sustainable future.
Advocacy
The campaign against fracking focuses on raising awareness of the risks associated with hydraulic fracturing, particularly its potential to pollute water sources, harm local ecosystems, and contribute to climate change.
GEAI has been involved in educating the public about the dangers of fracking, lobbying for stronger regulations, and supporting local communities in opposing the practice. Through grassroots activism, public outreach, and collaborations with environmental groups, GEAI works to ensure that fracking remains banned in Ireland, advocating for safer, more sustainable energy alternatives.
Advocacy
Good Energies Alliance Ireland (GEAI) organizes and participates in conferences to foster dialogue, share knowledge, and drive forward the conversation on climate change, sustainability, and environmental justice. These conferences bring together experts, activists, policymakers, and community leaders to discuss pressing environmental issues and explore innovative solutions.
Through these events, GEAI aims to strengthen networking among like-minded individuals and organizations, spark new collaborations, and inspire action at both local and national levels. The conferences serve as platforms for learning, advocacy, and the exchange of ideas, helping to shape the future of Ireland’s environmental policies and practices.
