Nick, our Climate Ambassador and Cróga man, gave a Climate Ambassador talk reporting on GEAI Cróga grassroots initiative. Nick was offcially appointed An Taisce Climate Ambassador at the start of 2020, when he was still part of our Erasmus+ team, and is still carrying on his mission nowadays as GEAI’s Development & Research Officer.

Climate Ambassadors’ quest is to carry on climate actions and climate communications over the course of their mission year, keeping the torch of climate resistance lit in their community. Unfortunately 2020 has been the year of social isolation and this put a constraint on the range of climate actions that were feasible to undertake. We at GEAI did our best last spring to engage with people in the cyberspace, and continue to do so, not to lose the momentum built with the Leitrim Climate Dialogue.

Nick and us were delighted to being given the opportunity to spotlight the Cróga initiative at one of the Climate Ambassador Talks: an ongoing online project to connect the ambassadors with environmental and climate experts, practitioners, campaigners, businesses and all relevant stakeholders.
